Mission:

The purpose of the Roy Montelongo Scholarship is to seek out,  identify and provide financial assistance to deserving high school students with a performing arts-oriented background. Primary consideration will be with high schools in the Travis, Williamson and Hays counties.

 

Value:

$1,000 Scholarships

 

Criteria:

- Current graduating senior within Travis, Williamson and Hays county

- Submit a current resume

- A one page “Personal Statement” essay (250-500 word) addressing the following questions: 

​

• Explain your career aspirations and your educational plan.

• Explain how this scholarship will assist with your plans.

• How do you plan to give back to your community in the future?

 

Decision and Award of Scholarship:
 

- A Roy Montelongo committee will screen and select awards for up to 7 recipients

- Scholarship total is $1,000 per recipient toward expenses with proof of enrollment and/or evidence of payment.
